Asia Wine Trophy 2020:

The largest OIV wine challenge in Asia shows the confidence of the participants in these adverse times

Neither its celebration a few months later than usual, nor the safety distances, nor other restrictive measures, have managed to cool down the success of the largest wine contest in Asia, under the patronage of the OIV.
In its eighth edition, the Asia Wine Trophy has once again positioned itself as one of the most influential international wine challenges in the world, with no less than 3,493 wines registered. More than 80 expert jurors from different countries around the world tasted and rated the submitted products for 4 days, in two rounds to ensure proper safety and hygiene measures. The quality of the wines has been, as expected, outstanding. However, only the best have been awarded, according to the demanding standards of the OIV. As a result, 1,048 wines have been awarded the precious medals, corresponding to 23 Grand Gold, 818 Gold, and 207 Silver, in addition to the Special Awards.
The participants, both national and international, seem to be aware of the importance of this wine contest, especially if we take into account that the forecasts remain pointing to a significant growth of the wine market in Asia. That is why the organization has made an extra effort to maintain high quality standards, going even further to ensure the safety and health of all members involved.

“We were convinced that we could carry out the competition with guarantees, despite the current unfavourable situation, and we succeeded without a doubt. All members of the organization, including both DWM (Deutsche Wein Marketing GmbH) and DIME (Daejeon International Marketing Enterprise) have proven that they have the experience and capabilities to do so” stated Chan Jun Park, director of the competition. “We have already demonstrated in the past that the Asia Wine Trophy is the benchmark in this continent, so participants continue to trust us, for which we are very thankful.”
